Kazakh Fonts is a free catalog of 1075 fonts with verified Kazakh support. 183 of them include all nine Kazakh Cyrillic letters, and 1062 fully cover the 2021 Kazakh Latin alphabet. The fonts come from Google Fonts, and each one is checked by its file.

We help designers, marketers, print shops and anyone working with Kazakh text quickly find a font that has every letter they need.

Why it matters

A “Cyrillic” label on a font doesn’t guarantee the Kazakh letters Ә, Ғ, Қ, Ң, Ө, Ұ, Ү, Һ and І. If they’re missing, software substitutes glyphs from another font, and the layout looks broken. Latin 2021 is a separate question: it needs Ä, Ğ, Ñ, Ö, Ş, Ū, Ü, İ and ı.

How we check fonts

We don’t rely on descriptions: a script opens each font file and checks whether it contains every Kazakh letter in Cyrillic and 2021 Latin. The result is shown on the font’s card — full support, partial (with a list of missing letters) or Latin only.

Where the fonts come from

The catalog currently includes 1075 open-licensed fonts from the Google Fonts library — free to use in commercial projects. We plan to add fonts from other foundries and Kazakhstani designers.

What’s on the site

  • Catalog — 1075 fonts in 7 styles: sans serif, serif, slab serif, display, script, monospace and variable. Every font has a live preview, a character table, CSS to embed it and a download link.
  • Collections — 5 themes with 28 font pairings each: premium brands, interfaces, books and magazines, food and signage, events.
  • Blog — 13 articles on Kazakh typography.
  • Font checker — upload a file to see which Kazakh letters it is missing.

Licenses

Every font in the catalog is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. It lets you use the font for free in personal and commercial projects, embed it in websites, apps and documents, modify it and redistribute it with other files. The only thing you can’t do is sell the font on its own.
