Font pairings for Kazakh text: 6 tried-and-tested combinations

A good pairing is built on contrast: one font sets the tone, the other stays out of the way of reading. Kazakh text adds one more requirement — both fonts need all nine Kazakh-specific letters, or the pairing falls apart on the very first «Қазақстан».

How to test a pairing

Type a headline and a paragraph with Kazakh letters in the catalog, flip the “Cyr / Lat 2021” toggle and compare the texture of the lines: at the same size, both fonts should feel close in color.
